Will India want to go Chairless?

A designer has created Chairless, "a seating device for the modern nomad". The device, which is just a strap of fabric or a kind of support belt, is being touted as a portable chair that can fit in your pocket. The seat starp is said to be inspired by a similar strap used by the Ayoreo tribe in northern Paraguay. A part of profits from the product will be used to support the Foundation for Paraguayan Indian Communities.

Will this chair be a hit in India? Indians can be found sitting in the same posture without having to use any strap. They support their legs by with a loop of arm formed by holding one wrist by other hand. Also, the palathi, or the sitting posture in which the legs are bent and criss-crossed to form a stable base, allows Indians to sit comfortably without any chair.
