Bitching reality shows

Neither Jaya Sawant nor her daughter Rakhi is happy about her being evicted from "reality show" Big Boss 3. In a Hindustan Times report, Rakhi was quoted as saying that the inmates of the show have used a boodhi aurat (old woman).
Inki apni maayein nahin hain kya? Will they abuse their own mother and call her Hidimba and all that?

How innocent Rakhi and her mother are? Didn't they knew what's the reality of the so-called reality shows? Afterall Rakhi has been on top of the charts for her swayamvar show. Now she is feeling cheated by her TV show fiance Elesh Parujanwala.

I am not a big fan of "reality shows" for the participants are anything but real. Everyone puts a fake face before the camera and says, "Look, this is the real me." Everyone knows these shows are all about money; there's hardly anything real about it. So why do people watch these shows?

One of my friends answers, "I love to see the participants bitching about each other." Though I am no psychologist, but it may be the subconscious (or often conscious) desire to break free from the shackles of a civic society and hit your boss or an irritating neighbour that keeps people glued to "reality shows" like Big Boss 3.
